Online Mental Health Coaching

Coaching delivered online across northern Wisconsin. No long drives, no waiting rooms, no judgment. Just real mental health support that meets you where you are.

How Our Online Mental Health Coaching Works

Progress is Progress offers mental health recovery coaching — practical, forward-focused support for anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, grief, and the emotional weight that often travels with addiction. Delivered online by Belle Morey, CSAC, with lived experience and clinical training.

Your treatment path reflects what you actually need, not a one-size protocol. Research indicates that online recovery coaching is equally effective as in-person coaching for many mental health conditions, including depression and anxiety. Belle Morey, CSAC, and her recovery-coaching approach share one commitment: real mental health support, no judgment.

Mental Health Conditions and Symptoms We Address

We support the full range of mental health conditions that bring people to coaching, including mood disorders, PTSD and complex trauma, grief, burnout, and the symptoms that come with chronic stress. We also specialize in substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, because the two rarely show up alone.

Substance abuse is not a moral failing, and our counselors approach these conversations without shame. For medication questions, we coordinate with psychiatrists and your primary care team so that medication decisions happen with full clinical context. Primary care providers often play a central role in ongoing mental health, and we communicate with your primary care doctor when that serves you.

Who We Serve Across Wisconsin

Progress is Progress serves adults and families across northern Wisconsin, with a focus on communities that traditional health care has too often missed. Your zip code does not decide your access to mental health care here.

Rural and Underserved Communities

Online platforms eliminate geographical barriers, allowing people in rural or underserved areas to access mental health services that were once out of reach. The drive to a therapist in a larger city can eat up half a day, and childcare, gas, and time off work add up fast.

We work with adults, parents, and older children through coordinated care. For younger clients, we collaborate with family recovery coaching and schools to build support that fits the whole household.

We also support Veterans and military families, coordinating with the VA when it helps. Over 1.7 million Veterans received mental health services at the VA last year, including counseling, therapy, and medication options. The VA offers a Veterans Crisis Line that provides confidential support 24/7, staffed by responders who are often Veterans themselves.

Eligible service members and Veterans can also access free individual and group counseling at Vet Centers without being enrolled in VA health care. We are glad to work alongside these resources.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

Your first appointment is a conversation, not an interrogation. We start with a short intake assessment to understand what brought you here and what you hope will change. Before that first appointment, you can complete a brief online self-assessment, which helps people identify difficult thoughts and feelings and gives your counselor a head start on where you may need help.

After the initial assessment, we typically meet one to two times per week. Between sessions, you get access to digital self-care apps that assist people in managing their mental health by improving sleep, mood, and relationships. We offer recovery plans that adjust over time and coordinate with your primary care team, so care options can scale up during hard weeks and step down as things stabilize.

Why Online Mental Health Care Works

Online mental health coaching offers increased accessibility, flexibility, and convenience compared to in-person coaching. You can join a session from your car, from home after the kids are in bed, or from a quiet corner of your workplace.

Many studies have noted higher attendance and completion rates for virtual appointments compared to in-person visits. Because our caseload is not limited by geography, patients who engage in online recovery coaching can choose from a wider pool of recovery coaches, raising the odds of finding a good fit on the first visit.

What Makes a Trustworthy Online Recovery Service

A trustworthy online recovery service should meet HIPAA compliance to protect your health information and use end-to-end encryption for communications. Ours does. Reputable platforms also ensure all providers are licensed in the jurisdiction where they practice.

Our clinical social workers, family coaches, and recovery plans are credentialed in Wisconsin, with some qualified to offer support across additional states. Platforms with licensed mental health professionals in executive or clinical leadership roles tend to prioritize ethical standards and evidence-based care, and our leadership comes from careers in direct clinical work and recovery support services.

Tools, Classes, and Peer Support We Offer

Support groups and health education classes are common forms of mental health care that provide community and shared experiences for people facing similar challenges. We run recovery-focused classes, skill-building workshops, and peer support spaces throughout the week.

Our classes cover emotional regulation, relapse prevention, relationships in recovery, and family systems, with flexible options for working schedules. Peer support is not a substitute for recovery coaching, but it is often the glue that holds recovery together, and our facilitators combine clinical training and lived experience to meet you wherever you are on your journey.

Choosing Mental Health Coaching That Fits

Choosing a mental health counselor is part practical, part intuitive. You want to know about credentials, specialty areas, availability, services offered, and how the counselor coordinates with your primary care provider, and you want to feel seen. The right fit makes every session work harder for you.

The best online coaching programs that train mental health professionals are typically accredited master’s degrees focused on licensure, combining flexible online coursework with required clinical training. Our team comes from that background, so if you or your children need support, or if you have been seeking care for a while and nothing has stuck, reach out to schedule a free consultation today.
